CX-P on Windows 7 x 64 bit - desktop - rocket ship - 8 processors, 12 gig tripple threaded high speed RAM etc. Strange thing happening - open a program and CX-P brings up a pop up 'Failed To Load Static DB'. Does not happen on the laptop runnig Windows 7 x 32 bit. Anyone know anything about this one at all?

Upload file using CF card
Hello all
I have a folding machine with Omron PLC and HMI NS5-SQ10B-ECV2, the problem is the hmi software disappeared and " No project data" appeared.
I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me A single Ipp file.
i am not really experienced in omron but i knew that i can upload the soft using CF card so, i used it and switch DIP6 , and the HMI recognized the CF card put it did't see any software.
i tried to put the soft in folder with the same name but with no luck.
I attached the file he sent me.

CP1E reboot
Hello,
i have problem about my Omron Plc CP1EN60dt, the plc i used keep reboot / restart when i used auto mode. if i use manual mode to run the machine the problem not happen. can u tell me whats wrong with this plc. it's come from software or hardware. the circuit breaker not trip but only plc reboot, can it cause by short circuit?

Omron PLC Cj1M CPU11 ETN 21 IP fixing Problem.
Dear all Please identify me i am having one Issue in my PLC.When I changed the IP of my plc then suddenly its showing error ERH its mean IP address wrong but My CPU setting is same like previous means unit no=0, x16^0=0 ,Node=x16^0=1 and IP is 192.168.0.15 Mask add.255.255.255.0. but when I, transfer to PLC (in Program Mode) its not transferred(Failed to Transfer) please rectify me where I am doing wrong.

NB HMI alarms issue
In my project I have three machines with NB panels and CJ2M-CPU34. Now, I want to add additional NB panel and read alarms from machines. My new visualization consists of three screens with "ALARM" window. I make configuration (alarm settings, PLC setting in "ALARM" window property). The problem is when I force alarm (for example from machine 1) it shows on three screens. To sum up, I want to connect three PLC and one HMI panel and display alarms from PLCs on three screens, each of them with alarms from 1 PLCs.
Do you know the solution of this problem?

Sending Data From Excel to Omron PLC thru CX-Serve
Hello All,
I am would like to know how to send a bit from an excel file to an omron PLC through CX-server in order to confirm that I have communication and the excel file is open.
At the moment I am reading data from the PLC on the Excel file no problem but I don't know how to do it on the other way.
I am attaching the code I have written and the excel file. So the idea is having a cell with a 1 and reading this value as a bit ON on the PLC.

Need help to connect to CP1L to read DM data
I have been trying for several days just to get a CP1L to reply to my any message that I am sending to it. I am using RS232 on the 2nd RS232 module(the first is connected to a NT unit). It seems like when I connect a USB (A-B) cable together with a Serial(USB-RS232) cable together on the same notebook, all commands on the Serial side is ignored but when I removed the USB cable, the Serial side will just echo whatever I send over. Is this connection normal? Thank you in advance for any help!!

CJ1M-CPU12 Host Link Protocol(FINS)
Hi all,I tried connect to CJ1M-CPU12 with Host Link Protocol from PC.I sended(without spaces) "@00FA F 00000000 0101 82 0038 0A +FCS *Cr" through peripheral port for read Dm area.But PLC didn't answer.I tried again with 19200 7E2,9600 7E2,115200 8E1.But result is same no answer.DIP switches on the PLC are are ON all of them.I read W342-E1-14 CS_CJ_CP+HostLink FINS ReferenceManual.But I didn't solve this problem.Finally hooked Rs232 Port and sended same code with 19200 7E2.PLC sended to me "@00???".Is peripheral port settings wrong?If it is not what's wrong?

Omron E5CN & Labview
Hello, I have an Omron E5CN temperature controller and I am trying to read/write data via Labview. I can access the controller with the Thermomini software (by Omron) under the Comway protocal but I am unable to access the controller via Labview. I cannot buy the OPC server by NI and I tried both Compway/Modbus with no luck. The controller is connected via a RS232 to USB converter. Can anyone help out?

OMRON J1000 - EMERGENCY CIRCUIT BEST PRACTICE
Hi! With the emergency circuit I usually power off all the outputs and for motors I power off the main circuit. Powering off the main circuit of an Inverter it is not a good way. I'm just wondering how do you implement the J1000 inverter into your emergency circuit. Could you share your best practice? I've seen that there is an external fail input but this is not a safe input right?

My Node Card frequently circuit burned after I replaced the DRM21 with same program.
Will DRM21 cause the burn of Node Card?

Omron 3G3HV Problem
Hello guys,
I got a used Omron VFD from a friend. It was used in an industrial application. It works fine with the integrated panel. I would like to use it to run my drill press.
I now try to control it by the so called 3 wire sequence (S1, S2, S3) for Start, Stop and forward/reverse. System does not work as expected, i. e. no reaction on the switches. I'm not sure if I have messed up the configuration of one of the n xxx parameters or if there is a HW problem. With SC open, there is no voltage at that pin (expecting 24Volts?!).
Any thoughts?

Questions about CJ2M EIP
Hi Maybe these questions have been up here before, but I still have some basic issues about something As I understand it there is Explicit messaging and datalink ways of transfering data on the EIP21, or is this the same thing? If not, when should you use what type I have looked at the tutorial in the download section about setting up an Omron and an AB, the same example is ok for 2 CJ2M aswell? When you use this tutorial, is the data automaticly polled, or do you have to make send/recv/cmnd instructions in your code? Regards Morten Denmark

CX-Supervisor: CXDBMS and CDMSrvr problem
I have severe problems with CX-Supervisor on some computers. SCADA hangs every few days reporting problem with CDMserver (communication stops), and when I am closing cx-s application I get error: CXDBMS.exe "could not write ...". The same app is installed on 6 computers on the same FinsGateway network for several days, and I get this error only on one of them. Does anyone have experience what could cause this. I suspect a HW issue, but WinXP system works without problems. Anyone solved this, suggestions? Best regards, JinX

Omron Eip
I need to read and write to the omron CJ2 series PLC through CIP. I am able to send the List service and register session packet and also getting the expected response. BUt after that I am not been able to send the read and write request correctly. Let suppose I have to read the 15th location of DM area so can anyone help me out especially about the packet structure of read and write request. And the important point is that I must have to use CIP not FINS.

G9SP ethernet communication with Siemens
Hello,
I need to make an ethernet communication Siemens S7-300 <> Omron G9SP. The HW of the Siemens that i us are CPU 315 2DP and CP 343-1 Lean. I did try to follow the Omron manuals Z922 and Z924, but faced with some problems. First of all in Z924 there is no complete HW configuration of Siemens (communication configuration is missing). Also, formats of messages differ in both manuals. Maybe there is an Simatic Step 7 project example, that i could open with Simatic Step 7 manager to do a deeper investigation, or maybe somebody has a lot more experience in this case? CJ1M CPU11: C-Command
Hello! I'm trying to get acces to the plc via c-commands (e.g. RD, TS, ...). I'm using the Omron cable CS1W-CN226 and the COM1 from my laptop (no USB-serial converter). First I tried it with a self-created VBA-Code, then with the "C-Mode Hostlink Demonstration Program" from the forum's download area. Both send the same string over the RS232, but in both ways I get no information back! I checked the peripheral settings of the plc by using Auto-Online in CX-Programmer. It's 19200, 8, N, 1. The same settings I'm using in my application, but it won't work. All DIP-switches on the plc are off. Hope, you can help me! Greetz
